Chiropractic is a non-invasive healthcare profession that focuses on the management of the whole body. It aims to improve the quality of life for people of all ages in all areas from pain management and general health to cost effectiveness. Temporary or routine chiropractic care benefits include:

Overall Sense of Wellness: The philosophy of chiropractic emphasizes the relationship between the spine and the nervous system to promote wellness and vitality for the whole body. Chiropractors give recommendations for healthy and preventive lifestyle choices on everything from exercise and nutrition to healthy sleeping habits.

Outstanding & Quicker Results: Chiropractic care shows more improvement on short-term and long-term recovery by itself or in addition to traditional medical care, according to The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. There is also evidence that shows combined intervention of adjustment, stabilization, exercise and physician consultation is more effective than medical consultations alone.

Patient Satisfaction: The practice of chiropractic is extremely patient-centered and a good patient-physician relationship plays an important role in treatment. The vast majority of patients are satisfied with their chiropractic care and “patients who saw doctors of chiropractic were significantly more likely to show self-reported improvement in health than patients who saw medical providers.”1

Personalized Care: Chiropractors are trained with specialized knowledge and take a patient-centered approach to treatment. Each assessment is personalized to the patient's specific needs. Patients enjoy closer patient-doctor relationships than most professions because a doctor of chiropractic wants to take time to learn about you, your lifestyle and the limitations you face. The closer relationship and deeper patient-physician connection encourages patient compliance and improves outcomes.

Drug-Free: Chiropractic healthcare is a natural approach to heal and improve the overall wellness of the body. It is a hands-on technique that is drug-free which cuts down on costs, possible adverse reactions and on masking symptoms, rather than healing.

Lower Costs: According to an American Medical Association study, benefit plan members with chiropractic coverage return to work faster, had lower claim costs and experienced fewer follow ups compared to plan members without chiropractic benefits. Research proves that access to managed chiropractic care may reduce overall healthcare expenditures. Chiropractic is recognized as specialty care funded by the dominant health care systems and Medicare and most insurance companies cover chiropractic treatments. Also, health plan members with chiropractic insurance coverage compared with those without coverage had lower annual total health expenditures.

Increased Balance & Coordination: According to the Canadian Chiropractic Association's, “Don't Let a Fall Get You Down,” a doctor of chiropractic can help assess your risk of falling by evaluating your strength and balance. Your chiropractor can also prescribe exercises and give you practical advice to reduce your risk of injury.

Military Performance & Recovery: The Military Health System is currently incorporating chiropractic treatment to improve readiness and retention of soldier, according to a Department of Defense Chiropractic Health Care Demonstration Project. In recent military conflicts, the majority of soldier attrition is not from battle injuries, but rather more mundane causes similar to those encountered in civilian life. The inclusion of chiropractic care benefits in the Department of Defense's health plan and the Department of Veteran's Affairs provides physical, mental and overall wellness treatment to restore good health faster.
